We are pleased to invite you to register your interest in attending the second Forum for the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, which will take place on Tuesday 13 June 2023 at Ronneby in Region Blekinge, Sweden. Online participation to the Forum will be available. The EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change The Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change focuses on supporting EU regions, cities and local authorities in their efforts to build resilience against the impacts of climate change. The Mission’s objective is to accompany at least 150 European regions and communities towards climate resilience by 2030. The Mission Forum The annual Forum is a major governance element of the Mission bringing together national, regional and local authorities, Friends of the Mission, European institutions, and research organisations. The Forum is an opportunity to take stock, identify issues, provide direction, and define the path ahead. It will also showcase regional initiatives on adaptation to climate change and will facilitate dialogue between the participants of the Forum. Social and side events Join us at our pre-Forum social event on the evening of June 12th, and several side events during the Forum on June 13th . These include: a guided tour at Eriksberg, the Nordic region’s largest game reserve, followed by a food and drink reception; a guided tour in the historic Ronneby Brunnspark, a 19th Century botanical garden; and an opportunity to learn about the Blekinge Archipelago UNESCO biosphere reserve and its mission to promote sustainable development within its unique natural setting. Time and date: Pre-forum social event: Monday 12th June 2023, 18:00 – 21:00 CET Forum: Tuesday 13th June 2023, 09:30 – 17:00 CET Language: The Forum will be held in English and simultaneous interpretation will be provided for both physical and online attendees into the following languages: Deutsch (de), ελληνικά (el), Español (es), Français (fr), Magyar (hu), Italiano (it), Nederlands (nl), Język polski (pl), Română (ro), Slovenčina (sk), Slovenski jezik (sl), Svenska (sv). Note, interpretation will not be provided for the Forum breakout sessions. We very much hope that you will join us for this important event.
